“Fine Dining for a Fine Education”

The History
Father Champlin ran in the annual Camillus Memorial Day Race for many years to raise money for “his kids”. Chef Chris Cesta would support Father’s efforts by giving donors a dinner certificate to his wonderful restaurant, The Inn Between. This incredibly generous offer was one of our most successful scholarship fundraisers through the start of 2025, when Chris took a well deserved retirement and closed the establishment. We wondered what would come next, and as proven time and time again, when one door closes, another is opened…

Today
Chef Cesta and his dear friend, restaurateur Charlie Roman, have arranged for a “passing of the baton”. When you make a $95 donation to the Guardian Angel Society, you will receive a $95 dinner certificate to Daniella’s Restaurant! We’re grateful to Charlie Roman for embracing this program in order to champion our scholars and supporters alike.

Giving the gift of education while also supporting a local business is an impactful way to help our Syracuse community. Father would surely be pleased to see this tradition of hospitality carry on.
