In 1997, Father Champlin started the Guardian Angel Society to raise funds for tuition assistance to allow children to attend Cathedral School and then Bishop Grimes, Bishop Ludden and Christian Brothers Academy. He also knew that, in order for these children to experience success in school, they needed to build relationships with mentors.
Guardian Angel Society has been blessed to provide those things to children for the last 19 years. Now, meet one of the first kids to experience the success that comes from a community of love and support provided by the Guardian Angel Society, Melanie George.
Melanie graduated from Cathedral School in 1998 and then went on to attend Christian Brothers Academy. After graduating CBA in 2004, Melanie attended Georgetown University in Washington, DC until she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, in 2008.
