80 for 80
“Fine Dining for a Fine Education”
Father ran in the annual Camillus Memorial Day Race for many years before his death in 2008 to raise money for “his kids”. Chris Cesta would support Father’s fundraising efforts by giving donors a dinner certificate to his wonderful restaurant, The Inn Between. Chris continues the tradition and rewards every contribution of $80 or more with a dinner certificate. As explained by Kathy & Dan Cantone, frequent supporters of this endeavor: “We’ve been blessed in contributing to Father Champlin’s legacy for the past 15 years! Our annual gift of the Memorial Day Race “Dinner Certificate” to family and friends is in memory of Father’s deep faith, love of children, dedication to fitness, and delight in the delicious cuisine and neighborly hospitality at The Inn Between.”

While the plight facing many of Father’s kids isn’t funny, this night of comedy sure was! On Saturday, April 1 at 8pm, Bruno Schirripa brought his ORIGINAL WISE GUYS stand up comedy production back to The Palace Theater in Eastwood to benefit Father Champlin’s Guardian Angel Society. Our sincere gratitude to Bruno and all who helped to make this wonderful show possible.
The show raised over $7,000 by an audience of over 400 people, and consisted of 3 hilarious comedians that Bruno refers to as “Original Wise Guys”:
– Nick Marra, who got his start in comedy at Wise Guys in Syracuse will kick off the laughfest. Nick has traveled across the country making people lagh after honing his skills on amateur night.
– Mike Eagan has been gracing comedy stages for more than 35 years and there is a reason he is still doing it; he is just darned funny. He has mastered a style of comedy called the Rolling Story. His story evolves at a comfortable pace and the laughs escalate as it does.
– Gary Delena is an international comedian. From TV appearaces to cruise ships and resorts around the world, Delena delights his audiences with a triple threat approach. He wows you with his musical ability and uses his guitar to create song parodies and impression of the artists, along with a rapid-fire flurry of comedy material.
